The Albert Dock is a major tourist attraction in the city and opened way back in 1846 by Prince Albert. Located in Liverepool City just under 15 minutes from the Devonshire House Hotel.
Today, it is the most visited national heritage site outside of London, attracting around 4 million visitors per year. The docking complex and warehouses that make up the Albert Dock consist of the largest single collection of Grade I listed buildings within the UK and cover a staggering 1.25 million square feet.
Entry to the Albert Dock is free, as is the International slavery museum, Tate Liverpool and the Maritime Museum.
