Everton football club was founded in 1878 and joined the English League as founder members in 1888. Everton’s ground, Goodison Park is situated in Walton, having moved from Anfield in 1892, and now has a capacity of 40,158.

Trophies won - 9 league titles, 5 FA Cups and a European Cup Winners Cup. Everton are the 4th most successful club in England, behind Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.
